Woman gets 6 years in stabbing

ALAMOSA — Sasha Chacon, a 23-year-old woman who stabbed a woman she thought was having an affair with her boyfriend, was sentenced to six years in prison Monday.

  "For no good reason you seriously assaulted and injured another person," District Judge Michael Gonzales said.

  Chacon pleaded guilty in February to first-degree assault in the heat of passion for the July stabbing of Alice Trujillo, who suffered five stab wounds to her chest neck and hands.
